Remove all your sound dampening padding under the interior with dry ice.

Reducing sprung weight is practically a lost cause unless you are seriously reducing a significant amount (100+ lbs). As said in previous posts, reducing unsprung and drivetrain weight is where you will feel it.

- MAYBE a set of race seats, way down the line.
I've taken out the rear seat bench before. It weighs, at most, 20lbs, and that's probably way overshooting it. Not worth removing unless you're driving a dedicated track car. Same as the spare tire + tool set, as DAYTA said. Silly loss of utility in a daily driven car. The single biggest difference you will notice comes from lightweight wheels. Unsprung mass is a force to be reckoned with.

Wow, old post. I actually don't have a carbon hood. I'm still considering it for the future. Unsure if I want to break up the clean, OEM+ look my car carries. I guess I could paint it.

I would say the biggest things I have noticed that make a difference on the car are::
Lighter wheels and brakes
JDM front and rear bumper supports
Carbon Hood and trunk.
Light battery (there are a lot that are not CF that are plenty good)
Everything else makes a difference but it is harder to tell the overall effect. cold air intakes, titan exhaust, heck even light crank pullies and flywheels reduce overall vehicle weight. But the benefits in these parts are more in the power gain than the weight reduction.

The Racingbrake two-piece rotors save something like 4 lbs per corner. More important than the total weight saved, this weight is off the suspension making for better handling as well.
