How much does the 06 front Hood and trunk weigh?

Im thinking about getting carbon fiber replacement, but im not sure if 500 bucks for a little weight loss will benefit much. of course, ill buy it, just want to know the stock hood weight so i can compare the power.

Never weighed the hood, but I recall someone saying stock was around 40lbs and the VIS CF hood was around 20lbs.

As for the trunk, 20lbs for stock trunk (just trunk, no lights, cables and trunk release) and 14lbs for CF trunk.

i see, so the carbon fiber hood should cut about half the weight. and the trunk shouldnt be too much of a problem if i keep it stock(looks better stock for me anyway).
