04-05 front 06 rear Mugen pic request!
Hi all,

Looking to order a Mugen kit for my 06 in the next couple of days and I'm having a difficult time deciding between the 2 aero bumpers.

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong...

I understand I have to stick with the 06+ Mugen rears since there is a design difference between the 04-05 and the 06-08 model years.

If anyone has successfully installed an 04 mugen rear on an 06 up tsx, please let me know!

That being said.. does anyone have a pic of an 06+ TSX with an 04-05 mugen front bumper & sides and an 06 Mugen rear?

Personally, I've never seen that done.

Unless the complete rear bumper assembly was changed.

Ahhh.. so I'm pretty much sticking to the 06 rear for sure unless I swap for an 04 bumper.

Ever seen/have any pics of 04 front & sides and an 06 rear?

Thanks for the info GTSX-05!

Will the lines flow? I like the design of the 04 side skirts a lot more but if it the design doesn't flow i should stick to a full 06 kit

you can do any mugen whole front bumper on your car no matter the year. it replaces grille with it.

@ prequenc: I fugured as much from a ton of the pics I've seen around here... Just wanted to be sure from other tsxclubbers out there! Also I'm wondering on the overall look of using the 04 front and sides with the 06 rears. I'm wondering if the the lines on the sides with the up/down flares on the 04 side skirts will flow well with an 06 rear..

@ LeeMaster: do a search on the forum for the 'Mugen Power' thread. there a few pics of the 06 Mugen kit in there

FYI All.. For my 2006 PWP, I took the plunge and ordered a little bit of Mugen / JDM 'loot':

04-05 Mugen Aero Bumper
04-05 Mugen Side Skirts
06-08 Mugen Rear Under Spoiler
Mugen Fuel Cap
Mugen New Design Oil Cap
Mugen Label
Mugen Radiator Cap
06-08 JDM Headlights

Pics after install.. coming Dec '09/Jan '10

Wow, how much is it for the bumper, side and rear skirts? I also love the look of the 04-05 Mugen Aero bumper.

@ Willy18: Sorry that was supposed to be rear *under* spoiler. Thx! It was a lot to get.. it's mostly because I cracked up my front bumper and figured I'd go this route instead of go back to stock

@ pally 777: I ordered from Kingmotorsports. I'd have gone thru Heeltoe to take advantage of his paint services, but since the bodyshop is painting my car I went straight thru Kingmotorsports. If not for the bodyshop I would have gone thru Heeltoe!

cost before shipping was:
04-05 Mugen Aero Bumper: $1306
04-05 Mugen Side Skirts: $715
06-08 Mugen Rear Under Spoiler: $605

FYI, I got the 06-08 rear under spoiler because the 04-05 doesn't fit the 06-08 model years.
