What's the difference in the 2004 and 2005 mirror switch? Is there an extra button to turn on and off the heated mirrors or just extra connections to connect the heated mirrors?

Extra button. All connections are the same. you just replace that switch - part # linked to in the first post

I understand how it all works and the wiring part is cake.
My question is, how did you pop the actual mirror surface off/disassemle it. I know you are reluctant to explain, but if you could elaborate more, maybe take a pic of your mirror and use paint/photshop to 'point' where a flat head needs to be used or something, it would be VERY HELPFUL!
Thanks, this mod is a must do as far as I'm concerned, my old '00 Jeep had these STOCK and they worked wonders in our Michigan winters, Acura was lame in '04 I guess

lol - I'm not "reluctant" to explain anything. If anyone wants to do this mod themselves, that's exactly why I posted it here. But if anyone is too afraid or not skilled enough to do it, and they live in my area, I can definitely do that for them.
As far as separating the mirror from the assembly, this is the most difficult part (this, and attaching the mirror back on). There is no way to explain it well, or to show any pics, because once you shift the mirror, you can barely see anything, less to say take a picture. But the key elemnts are: you have to get from the bottom of the mirror insert, and you have to separate the white plastic from the black plastic, on both sides of the bottom of the mirror. Then you have to lift the bottom up and remove the insert towards you, from the upper notches. I used a small flat head screw driver to seprate the bottom part, but even though I know exactly how to do it, it still takes a while to actually do it - it's attached so damn hard. On the bright side, look at it this way, even if you brake this mirror when takin it out, you will not be putting it back in anyway, so you don't have to worry about breaking it. And once you dig it out, you'll know exactly how it's attached. Actually, looking at the back of the new mirror insert may give you a better understanding of how it's attached.

Thanks alot man, thats all I was really looking for
And when I said "reluctant", I meant I know its a PITA to sometimes explain things that are just something you have to kinda see-do-know, I was not trying to hate or anything
And trust me, I know that some mods are like that, I owned a awd turbo 99 mitsu eclipse for years and essentially rebuilt the entire thing since DSMs are the most unreliable car ever built...but really fast and cheap to mod...however, the trade-off became not worth it anymore and I moved onto the TSX, and have been loving this thing ever since (except the utter lack of power, but that just means it needs to be wound out a little more ) Trying to explain some of the mods to people on DSM forums was a hastle sometimes, just becuase it was something you just had to do. A simple explanation though can always go a long way.
Masterpoolcat - I'm looking forward to seeing some pics, I'm ordering my stuff and can't wait to get it done.
