Wiring diagrams?
Does anyone have the wiring schematics for the 2004 TSX? If so, would you mind posting them. I need the section that shows how the wiring from the rear view mirror control on the driver's door goes to the passenger mirror.

a better rephrased question would be: can someone who has the Helms Body manual scan the diagram showing how that harness is routed. I only have the electrical manual, and it doesn't show the actual routing. I told him "how" it's routed in general, but he could use a scanned diagram if anyone has it.

Masterpoolcat came across a problem in his DIY project where his passenger's side mirror doesn't work, but his driver's side mirror does work.
Looking at the circuit, the orange wire that provides 12V output from the switch is supposed to split and go to each of the mirrors. But according to the below, there may be exceptions:

1. The orange wire comming out from the switch goes directly to the driver's side mirror and doesn't split anywhere.
...
2. None of the other wires on the switch show any voltage with the switch turned on and no voltage with the switch turned off (there are 2 black wires that have 12V regardless of the position of the switch)
This is what I'm not understanding: If the switch is supposed to send some kind of signal to the passenger mirror, where would it send it through, because the switch has no effect on either of the black wires or any other wire for that matter (other than that one orange). ... but the orange wire doesn't split anywhere! That's where I'm stumped! How's the other mirror supposed to get the signal!?
Here's a picture of the back of the switch:

Don't worry about the black wires. They provide input to the switch. The ORANGE wire is SUPPOSED to split and each end is supposed to end up at both mirrors. Acura must've screwed up something real bad if you're not getting that. I had no problems in my car with it, because both mirrors work like a charm. But in Eric's car, when I installed everything, he didn't then have a switch yet, so we couldn't test it. When he put the switch in, he said that his right side wasn't working. I've figured there must've been a bad connection somewhere, but I was never able to look into that, because a short while later he had that accident and then he sold the car, and we took all the mods out anyway. So now I'm thinking that maybe some of the 04 cars didn't have a complete circuit after all...
It's still a conceptually easy fix. Simply follow the orange wire from the passenger door and see how far it goes towards the fusebox. Find a good spot as close to the driver's side as you can, where that wire is still located, and cut it. Then extend it (from the pass side end) and run it to the driver's door and connect it to the orange wire there.

It goes all over the wire harness in the door, then splits, and then comes back in the same direction. I had to unravel most of the wire harness to figure that out. The reason that the passenger mirror wasn't working was because they had ommitted the orange wire from the main wire harness.

This is a connector that's located behind the glove compartment.

As you can see, the orange wire is the third wire from the bottom left. In the second picture you will notice that there is no prong that connects to it.

The wire goes through this big black harness. My guess is that it's the main wire harness in the car. Unfortunately, it goes through the back of the navigation.

What I ended up doing is popping off the rubber tube that protects the wires in the door hinge from the driver's side. I tapped into the orange wire from there. It was alot easier to do it there, because I would of had to remove the dash around the steering wheel to see where the orange wire goes (not to mention probably unravel more harnesses). I really don't know how far the orange wire goes from there, but I don't think it's much further. I then just routed the wire through the kick panel; under the carpet below the steering wheel; then through an opening under the stereo; finally, up behind the glove to the connector in the first picture. Routing a new wire took about 15 min. Now everything is functioning like it should.
Thanks for all your help Peregrine. I couldn't have done it without you. I will be doing the writeup I had promised with plenty of pictures within a couple of days.
