Does anyone know if the 03' TL had an automatic open/close sunroof because the part looks almost the same as the one for the TSX. I know they moved the controls for the TL to the roof and the part is alot bigger. Check this link out, it shows the sunroof switch as #7 and looks to be deeper than the switch on the TSX.

Damn, at this rate, it might be easier to work out a circuit board and throw some ICs on it instead of having to go with a set of big relays.

I have no idea what these switches even look like. Do they allow you to open close the roof by 1 touch?

Instead of the 2 SPDT relays you can find a dual relay of a smaller amperage. I know Radio Shack used to carry different types few years back. All those 2 relays are needed for is just to disconnect 2 separate circuits while the 528T is active. And again, you don't even need to put those in if you are 100% certain you will never press the Close ot Tilt buttons when the roof is automatically opening.

Well, what I was hoping for is to have two sets of switches, one for the standard usage and one for the 1-touch.
But what I also want is to be able to stop the 1-touch by pressing one of the standard switches, similar to what the driver's side door has.
The problem is now I have to incorporate logic to have the standard switches break the circuit for the 1-touch switch when they activate. And this goes on top of all the relays that are already needed. Will probably get pretty messy, which is why I'm wondering if a circuit board might work better.
Of course, this is just all theoretical for me.

Yes, I understood what you were talking about. You'd still need a "miracle" switch for that. This could of course all be done with relays, but as you said, it'd be very messy. Circuit board would be a good solution, but I definitely can't do it.

I don't know. You'd have to show me the switch and OEM wiring schematics of the roof in TL or RL. Then I'd know if it's possible and how to do it.

TSX is made in Japan, TL is domesticated
- reason enough for me to stick with the TSX.
