DIY Thread Buddy Club Condenser Install

I got the Buddy Club condenser for pretty much engine bling.

Here is what they claim:

- Cool blue led lights to spice up your engine bay
- 2 in 1 designed off both Grounding and Stabilize voltage
- Improve Horse power and torque
- Improve Fuel Economy
- Smooth idling with improve engine response
- Improve all electrical component performance
- Improve battery life

In theory it should work since its a big capacitor that stores electricity so when electronic stuff in the car start to demand more power the capacitor acts as a buffer power reservoir to lighten to the load on the alternator and battery.

-----------------------------

The install

First I took a long look at where I should put my condenser unit. My TSX is bone stock just got it 2 weeks ago

I decided on the driver's side area. Looks bare and I notice there are covered holes.

When I removed the tape its just 3 holes.

Under they go nowhere and there is good clearance.

You need a taper set and a M6X1.0 taper

Tapered at M6X1.0 and taped up the other holes with electrical tape.

Took a standard M6 Honda bolt and put anti-seize on it.

The main negative terminal from the condenser I mounted it with the main battery negative terminal.

I grounded the throttle body and Intake Manifold.

Ground some random open bolt hole on the tranny.

Lastly you connect the main positive from the Buddy Condenser to the positive of the battery. Then you're done!

This is what she looks like at the end! Engine bling!

------------------------

Tips

- Disconnect the main battery first before plugging up all the wires!
- Connect all the wires to the condenser first or else it will be hard to do after mounting it on the car. I lost a bolt and it fell somewhere
- Don't forget you have to punch in your radio security code after and set the time on your clock.

------------------------

Results.

- Haven't driven around yet. Can't report on gas mileage yet.
- The starts seem the same takes 2 cranks before the engine starts.
- Idle feels the same.

------------------------

Special thanks to OptionJDM where I got the condenser from.

ok I just finished my tank of gas, got 600km the problem is its colder here in Canada. cold starts means more fuel. So I figure it gets a bit better mileage.

I was driving in 15c weather last tank and now I'm driving in 5c weather.

I mounted mine right to the top of my Optima Red Top via a custom tie-down bracket. I sent my grounds to the alternator, throttle body and engine block. I connected the postive and negatives straight to the battery as they should be

I got one and the only thing I really noticed was that the car seemed to shift smoother (i have an automatic). However I does attract a lot of attraction. When I show my engine bay to people its the first thing they ask about.

I have the same condenser installed on my UK Accord. I have noticed that the fuel economy has increased some what and the car feels more fluid and torquey.
