Drove the Comptech SC TSX today

Just drove the supercharged Comptech TSX... let me say DAMMMN that thing is awesome. If that kit is ever released I'll definately be first in line. I drove it around for a while, first has issues with traction (even with the 18 X 8 Works) and second chirps in. I don't like the TSX's drive by wire system now, only because it takes a lot of the fun out of this car. I pulled from a stoplight, through first it was even due to traction issues, but when second gear caught (I was about a car and a half ahead at that point) it caught me and passed me like I was standing still. Within 2 seconds it went from a car and a half behind to 3 cars ahead.

Two thumbs up!

I have an 05 6MT, but maybe at some point there will be hope for me.

Man that car brakes well! The smoothness of the car is totally ruined (coming from a good ol' throttle cable B-series purist) but its still a ton of fun to drive.

Wow those pics are absolutely amazing. Looks so nice, I want my ABP just like that. How did you get the opportunity to drive it?

My friend just came over and asked if I wanted to drive it, so I did. Its very fast and I would say worth it. I really hate the TSX driving system though, it really does ruin a really good setup.

Great pictures as always, looks great, and really is a shame that Drive By Wire ruins the system

A LSD and softer compound tyres should improve acceleration, putting the power down more efficiently. In fact, I'd probably attribute traction loss almost entirely to tyres without being subjective to how much torque is increased.

Traction loss was due to many things, tires, torque, launch RPM, etc. I was referring to the drive by wire's introduction of a phase lag into the system, creating an effective lag that is much too noticeable. This really was independent of the Comptech car, as I was stating my experience with it's response delay to be unsatisfactory in my car.

How did your friend got a hand on the Comptech SC though?
And would you happen to know how much will it cost when it comes out next year?
