I really would recommend however that you buy a full Cold Air Instead

Much Better performance... the Short Ram is sucking air in through the engine bay, the engine makes the air in the engine bay hot, the Cold Air as the name implies sucks in colder air from below the bumper...and Colder Air= Free Horsepower

Is there really that much of a noticeable difference between the two? If I change out my stock exhaust along with a short ram, would that still make a considerable difference between the two?

I like the Comptech setup but the gains aren't worth the $ IMO.

How often do you have to change your filter on the short ram, and what brand did you go with??
