CAI difference?
Im noobie with cars but learning. What difference would adding an Injen CAI to my 06 TSX make? Does it sound cooler? Difference in max speed? Accelerate faster?

yeah.. vtec's already have no power at low end and it'll make it ever lower.. but higher power @ higher rpm's.

I've heard the Comptech Ice Box makes more lower end torque compared to stock and less VTEC hp/tq compared to Injen. The Injen CAI makes less lower end torque compared to stock and higher VTEC hp/tq compared to Comptech.
With the TSX torque being so low at VTEC you’re not going to accelerate as hard at 6-7,000 RPMs (around 135-140 lbs of tq) compared to 3-4,000 RPMs (around 150-155 lbs of tq). The VTEC “kick” you feel at 6,000 RPMs in not the hp kicking in, it is the extra torque when the lobes switch over and recovers some of the 15-18 lbs of torque lost before VTEC (the i in iVTEC). I rather have the extra 2-4lbs of torque at 3-4,000 RPMs instead at 6-7,000 RPMs.
That is why the Hondata reflash is so effective; lowers the VTEC to about 4850 RPMs, it brings the torque on early, longer, and level across the power band without the huge drop of torque before iVTEC for faster acceleration compared to stock.
I’m going for any mod that adds more lower end/mid range torque. Hodata is top on my list; but the Comptech ice box is cheaper and I'm going to spend more time at 3k RPMs than 6k RPMs.

To be exact.. the cam lobes kick in at 6,100 RPM :P. and ^ stated above, it's not the HP kicking in.
