Hondata IM gasket

I just ordered my Hondata IM gasket. I know it's a little late, but is it worth it? 3-4 HP for $60 doesn't sound bad. I plan on installing this myself as I do everything else

It's a kind of hard install too from what I've heard.

The Hondata IMG doesn't give you any power, it justs gives you back any power you would lose from the high heat. I believe it can reduce air temps by 15-40 degrees. Not sure how that translate into real world performance though.

installation is a biatch. I was quoted $40 for the IMG, and $220 I think for the install.

Did it myself and followed someone elses instructions on another informative site like this. It is a bitch to do and per Hondata's site, significantly lowers intake temp. That's good for any mod.

It's not that bad, I have done a few install already. Just time consuming and a pain.

Ya, I get mixed reviews. Some say it was hard, some say it was easy yet time consuming. I got the same reviews when asking about the suspension install. I found the suspension install to be extremely easy. So how does this compare. SPRING/SUSPENSION install on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the hardest I'd give it a 1.5. For those who have done the IM gasket install what would you rate it on a scale from 1-5?

not sure if it's the same, but i've done it before on a b-series motor. first time was a little hard because of the tight space. after that it was pretty easy. i would give it a 3.5 on the b-series motor and after the first install it was like 1.5 afterwards.

Ya, I've install a Spoon Ventuli plate (aka "rubber chicken") on a B16 before and it was pretty tight. But on the K motors the intake manifold is right there in front of you and the only hang up I could see would be the bottom bracket.

Well, I did the install today. It was fairly easy and only took about 1.5 hours. I have not driven it yet so I will give an update soon.
