K&N "Typhoon Kit"

Here is the link to it
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-0025TP
This is specifically for a TSX from the site. I do not know much about Cold Air Intake Systems, but I have heard from friends than K&N is the best. For those familiar how does this look to you? Also, would the Acura dealer install it for me do you think? Bottom line, is it worth $250?
Thanks all!

I have the K&N Typhoon CAI... its a great intake, sometimes its a bit pricey then Injen which is more popular on this forum... depends on where you buy it from...

I wouldnt recomend having an Acura Dealership install it to tell the truth, its really easy though actually to install youself, or have a friend do if your not too mechanical... I did a Write up on it in the DIY section, ive now installed 3 CAI's on TSX's...

I'm actually going to get the K&N myself. I hear great things about it and one added benefit is that it can be both short ram or cold air

Will this void my warranty?

Well, first off you should get this installed by a mechanic if you arent abled to do it yourself. Although this alone will not void your warranty, they may debate that the problem occured because of the mod that you have installed but they would have to prove that. It just saves a lot of headache if you installed it and later down the line do come across problems just uninstall it before brining it to the dealership, IMO

its a very good idea to go ahead and unistall it before u take it to a dealer. they wont even be able to tell u had it but an intake would only void warantee if the intake caused the motor to blow which is very unlikely. so jus drop in da intake and have fun.

Something to note is that the diameter of the Injen and K&N are different. The Injen has a diameter of 3" while the K&N has a diameter of 2.75" I believe.

I'm not sure how much this effects the overall power, but with the smaller diameter piping, there's a chance that the K&N will have a little more low end power. This is just a guess by me and I don't have any dynos to back it up though.
