HKS Silent Hiper Catback System
Hi everyone. I currently reside out in South Korea for work and am 1 of 4 TSX owners out here. (Brought it along with me). But my car is the only semi-tuned TSX in this country.
My car current set-up:
2004 Acura TSX Automatic (Biggest mistake ever buying an automatic)
18 Inch Sugarray Super Mesh
Neuspeed Suspension Kit
Cross Drilled Performance Rotors
K&N 69 Series Typhoon CAI
Hondata Reflash
CompTech Headers
The problem and the dilenma I am currently facing is that it is the hardest thing to get parts in this country for my car. Even the Hondata Reflash, I ended up taking my ECU and immobilizer apart at the airport and flew it back to the states during a recent business trip.
I will be in Hong Kong next week and I looked around and they tell me that they have a HKS Silent Hiper catback system available for about $800 USD.
Does anyone know if these will work okay in terms of performance? Becuase for that money, I can opt to buy Camshafts but will not be able to re-map my ECU.
Any suggestions on the HKS catback system? or will it not work at all for my ride? I am simply looking for more performance.
Thanks everyone.

in my opinion the es premium looks like a better exhaust and I would see if you can get one of those.

What are you looking for? Strictly performance or do you want to retain the twin pipe output and improve on the sound output?

Looking for performance. When my car was stock, I got smoked by a Tiburon V6 2.7. After some Mods, I manage to pull ahead of them 3-4 car lengths 1.4 mile.

You'd want a single N1 designed exhaust system then. Here are some good options in no particular order/preference.
Amuse R1 Titan
J's Racing 60RS/RR
Feels' N1 Single

Just installed..Have pictures but do not know how to upload em.
I requested HKS ES Premium as they are so much better looking, but due to the lack of inventory, I ended up buying the Silent Hi Performance. The price difference between the two is about $80 USD. Here is a quick summary of the new catback system.
After removing my old stock exhaust system, the new HKS catback was installed. It was all silver chromed out. After taking it for a test drive, the sound improved tremendously..I mean..yes, the bass sound kicks in when driving slow in the 2-4thousand RPM range, but not so loud as to trigger car alarms. The product name itself actually decribes the sound..."Silent"...because when I punch the car, the intake sounds much louder than the catback system. At any rate, the sound is great although I do not feel much HP increase from it. I will post pictures soon as I do not know how to post in reply mode.
