SS Question

Hi guys, anyone know how to reverse the shift position on 5AT SS mode ?
(Up for downshift and down for upshift ?) Mines sells racing harness for other make and model which does exactly that (http://www.mines-wave.com), but I'm thinking about DIY. Thanks guys.

SYou probably have to change the ECU because mechanically changing the layout is too hard.. just get used to Acura's SS mode. I think if you reverse it it will be like BMW's and such.

You get used to it, however there is a way, it involves removing the center area around the shifter, ect... then switching the wires around... I have pictures of someone doing it somewhere... if you really want I could find them, but honestly you just get used to it, and its more hassle then its worth

Now what Id love to see is someone rewire that to the paddles from the RDX... but thats just me day dreaming

Not sure what you mean by that. I'm with Zeeshan since it seems more logical. BTW, I drive a 6mt.

Can anyone show me how to rewire it ? Thanks.

On the up and down part, the reason you want to push up for a downshift it is because your body would move forward under braking, so as your hand...

Ah ic, but with a real MT, you may encounter downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, under braking into a corner which means you're pulling back. IDK, just seems like it makes a difference only with an auto SS trying to imitate a manual yet it may have been better to just get a real MT. Hope it all works out for you.
