NST pulley kit installation, pics, dyno...
Long story short, I found out my old buddy Mike from www.NonStopTuning.com was in the process of building some new pulleys for the TSX and offered my car for testing. From the NST website...
The NST Acura TSX pulley kit increases horsepower via great weight reduction and the underdriving of accessories. Superior to other available kits, NST kits also offer an Overdrive Alternator Pulley to optimize output for stereo system lovers!
^^ This is really a plus for people like me who want to add a nice audio/video system in the future, because the NST alternator pulley will charge the battery and run the electrical system just like the stock setup!!!
Each kit is carefully crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, tested and balanced to high tolerances. Every NST pulley is hard anodized for exceptional durability and is available in a choice of colors: Blue or Graphite Gray.
Here are a couple pics...

You know a lot of the D and B series crank pulleys had harmonic dampeners. I would assume that our K24s also have harmonic dampeners looking at your pics. That said, replacing it with a piece of aluminum that does not have a harmonic dampener can be damaging to your engine, like tearing your bearings apart and eventually throwing a rod.

There's an extended discussion on harmonic dampeners on this or "other" forum, search. Anyways, our car does not require the harmonic dampeners.

nice~
but... what is the effect of having a smaller pulley? I mean how it is gonna change the factory design? (any negative impact?)

May not "require" them? They are built in from the factory... I wouldn't start tearing off factory items for like 3 horsepower.

What's your source? Both my mechanic who has worked on Honda/Acuras for 20+ years and some on K20A.org beg to differ.

Chat with Mike from NST on AIM, screen name NSTonAIM, and ask him. He has been using these pulleys on all his cars and his customer cars over the past few years with no problems. None of his pulleys have the thin rubber damper.
Civics, Preludes, and tons of Hondas have been running these pulleys with no problems. Also look up their name on www.ScionLife.com or www.MR2OC.com and look at all the people that use their products. You won't find anyone with a blown motor.
Look at this thread, it is very interesting...

Mike is a bit older than me and Ive been friends with him since I was a kid. I seriously doubt that he would put some garbage product on my car if he knew it would cause serious harm to my car.

Regardless of whether or not you or anyone else thinks that they are junk are not is not quite the point. The point is that you are running a risk. It could take days or years, who knows. Also, just because they don't yet have a blown motor, doesn't mean that they may not be wearing their bearings down prematurely - The only way to tell is a block tear-down and measurements taken and compared to the median failure rate. Not a risk I would personally take for ~3 HP.
