1. wth is a regular long one?, 2. what type of header are you looking to buy? what kind of gains are you hoping for?, 3. sure i don't see why not., 3.5. depends on questions 1 & 2., 4. check the vendors. i believe mr.heeltoe carries the greddy but don't quote me on that.

An answer to 3) is a little complicated.
There is no engine management available for the 05 AT, so the only way to possibly run a S/C is to use an 04 AT ECU reflashed for a S/C. It certainly is possible, but it also adds another ~$1k to the price for your application...

Ok..
1. Short ram is small intake that usually ends with the filter inside the engine bay. Cold Air (which you called long one) extends the air filter into the fender out of the engine bay to get colder air. Generally cold airs get better performace gains. Short rams are easier to install. Also, short rams will not suck up water as easily if you live in a place where it rains/snows alot.
2. Use the SEARCH option. DC Sports/Toda/Mugen/Comptech/eBay Everything from $250-$2000. Lots of info on this from our members in other threads. Depends on what you want/can spend. (I have DC)
3. NO not worth it (dont worry about having to switch out ECUs cause its not worth it)
4. Check vendors / google it / use SEARCH feature (even just on exhaust)

1. short rams are better like INeedACold1 said if your in an area with alot of rain and snow.. because that could really mess up your engine. but generally cold air is better because of what he said..
2.dun kno much about the headers.. lol
3.i didnt know they didnt make a management for 05AT tsx.. but yeah i dont think its worth it to get a new ecu' becaus that thing alone is expensive. like 1k or more.. because you need to get your imoblizer clonned
4. greddy evo 2 i got from options auto.com

Go with Mugen Intake, Mugen Headers, and Hytech exhaust. My 2 cents.

You do know that the Hytech exhaust only bolts up to the Hytech headers, right?

If you go w/ Hytech Headers and exhaust... might as well grab the whole Gram Am package 1, which I believe incl. Stage 1 cams and Hytech-Hondata reflash as well. 260whp/210wtq.
The only problem is you have a 05 5AT ECU, so you still need a 04 5AT ECU to work for it.

why are people still afraid of hydrolock? have you ever heard of someone that had that problem?
I have ran cold air intakes on a few of my cars and have never had any problems, and boy do we get rain, snow, both and everything inbetween!
just do a quick search and you´ll have all your answers.
sometimes it´s much better to just do the search cause you also learn alot by reading

+1 on that.
If you know it's rainning, snowing or a puddle of water on the ground. Why rev it? First it's dangerous, second you are asking for hydrolock.
As long as you keep your car in "rolling" position when you went over those puddles, you will be fine. This way your car is not even sucking much air in it, not to mention the water is heavier.
