weapon r intake=crap
i was disapointed as soon as i started to install the thing. The tube has stupid welds that look like crap, and the inside has excess aluminum around the welds. The filter seemed ok, cool design. the directions for installing the hoses were much to be desired. The mass air flow sensor is very loose inside the grommet, and the braces to hold the filter down make no sense, All in all i am very disapointed that this intake fits like crap and barley makes any noise.. to top it off my ebay CF spoiler does not fit. It bows up and down. CRAP.. next time i will spend more money to acheive quality.
needed. "pics of install if anyone has one!

i was trying to be different. i had Injen on my 97 240sx, it was fine. They could have made the weapon r design simpler. i m suprised how quiet it is. Only under full throttle does it have any noise.

Sorry to hear that...
Ive never EVER trusted anything from Weapon R. Ive always associated their products as not being quality parts. Ive seen people with their intakes before. And I didnt even have to try it to tell it was poor quality. They remind me of ebay specials.
I prefer quality always, or i just wait until I can afford it.
Just my $.02

had the dragon. hated it. threw it out. made noise and it did nothing else. lost performance with the thing. ur better off putting ur stock intake back on and dropping in a K&N air filter if u want performance.

The only intake I have seen that does not produce much of a loss anywhere in the RPM spectrum is the Comptech Ice Box. For your CF lip spoiler, did you try heating it up a bit before putting it on?

No offense, but I read the subject line "weapon r intake=crap" and said to myself, "duh" without even reading the post. Why would you ever get weapon r? Lesson learned huh? Sorry.
