Hondata for 2007 TSX ?
I was searching through the forums, can can't find much info rather than
Hondata doesn't have a flash yet for the 2007 TSX. I just want to know what's the difference between the 2006 and the 2007 TSX in terms of the ECU or why they don't have a flash yet for the 2007 (or maybe never...).
Timed my car 0 - 60 5 times, and the average is 7.92. Weather, 80's, Humid, Evening time in South Florida ! Seems the car can rev to 7300 ~ 7400 RPM without cutting out in Manual Shift Mode, but you must shift at around 7000 rpm, and it will surge up to ~ 7350 than shift. Took me a few times to mark the exact shift point, anymore than that, it hits the rev limiter. Redline is 7100 rpm, but it can do a little more ! Great car ! Hope they come out with a flash for it !

i had emailed them a while back about the 07 reflash, and this is what they told me:
'Our data shows us that the ECU has been upgraded for the 2007 model yearwith part number RBB-A71, which we cannot do. If and when we can do thisreflash, we will post it on the web site.'

Erm. So the chip is a problem? Or just they have not gotten around to working on this chip?

Basically it means that the ECU's part number is different, so the flash can't be done. Each ECU part number is associated with a certain flash program. If the ECU part number is different, then the ECU is different in some way.
It's like your cell phone. Sony Ericcson s710a, w600i, and w880i are all made by Sony Ericcson. However, you wouldn't want to flash the wrong program onto them and render them dead.
So basically...the flash isn't available yet because they haven't had the chance yet to look into it. It's not like Honda and Acura gives them a free car everytime it's released so that Hondata can hack their ECU. But hey, Nightshifter, if you're so eager, why don't you send them your ECU so they can experiment on it =)

you can always do the ecu swap. get an 06 ecu and matching key/immobilizer and swap it with your 07.
but yeah. i think it took them about 18 months to hack the original ecu in 05. so it may be a while for the 07s. it's ok. just more time to save up money for it.

The 05 was never hacked sucessfully, they ran into some vin number failure, so in general the 05 was a dropped projected. Only for automatics.

I received an e-mail from Hondata on the topic ...
Again, they don't know if there will ever be an 07 flash, they're working on it.
It looks a little grim ...
How much will an 06 ECU Swap cost me ?
Anyway, took the TSX to the track, did 15.95 best ! 16.03 was my second best ! My worst was 16.28, but i didn't break torque it off the launch...
Best 0 - 60 was 7.83 seconds (when it was cooler in the morning...)
Not bad for a stock heavy auto, but i bet that hondata can take a 1/2 second off !
Anyone have similar times for the 06 or 07 Auto ?
My cutoff seems to be @ 7400 rpm, but it shifts nicely @ 7350 !

well, from what i've read the hondata will increase and smoothen our your mid-range power, but to maximize it you'll need an intake, header and exhaust. i think they used all comptech stuff.

thats for the 2004 models. with intake, headers, and exhaust that total increase of power will equal to a 2006 stock w/ reflash.
good thing i have an 06 ;]
