It's on the far left of the dash. Driverside, underneath.

It follows the ISO9141 Protocol

thanks man, so i ordered this Apexi I-moni.. it says ISO14230 diagnostic connection needed. I tried a 97 prelude, 06 altima, and a an 02 Rav 4. The unit won't turn on. What cars use a ISO14230 connection..

I know this is an old one but thought I'd try to resurrect it.
Does that mean that products designed for ISO14230 will not work with our cars? Has anyone tried a device with this connection?

I doubt it will work because it follows a different protocol (aka Standard, set of rules). The poster above tried it and it sounded like it didn't work for him.

I couldn't tell from this post as HKPISTOLE stated that different vehicles were tried and the unit didn't turn on for any. Sounds like a faulty I-moni.
I searched the web for ISO14230 and several cases turned up with ISO9141 within the same context. During the searches it was said that ISO14230-2 and ISO9141-2 both use the same pin out.
Here are a couple of links I came across.
http://pinouts.ru/CarElectronics/obd...s_pinout.shtml
This one I had to search the document.

I'm almost tempted to try it out. Maybe I'll see if I can find a place that will let me try one of these out.
