I'm always wonder, does the radiator fan switch (any brand) perform what it does? Or even if it turns on @ a lower temp, does it really help our car to perform better?

Can anyone has the radiator fan switch please speak out~!! Thanks

Its more so used for those that take the car hard such as tracking.

Its main purpose is to let the cooling system kick in at a lower temp compared to the OEM temp. that it is suppose to kick in. It helps in the car not overheat as quick and at a level where in can reach harmful temperature spikes.

Thanks for the info.

1 more question, is this radiator fan switch the same as thermostat? I saw some Mugen one but not sure what's the purpose of it.

No they are two separpate items. ITs recommended that both be needed if you get the fan switch.

The fan switch is just the switch that activates the cooling fan at whattever temp mugen sets it at.

The thermostat is just that ..mugen thermostat has a preset operating temperature which is lower than oem which regulates temperatures.

Truthful, its not necessary unless the car is driven in very had consistantly.
If you plan on tracking a couple times a year, then its a good idea to get one.

If u just plan to track once in a blue moon. Dont worry about it.
