Valve Cover Install
My new VC is here and I noticed that it didnt come with the rubber gasket that lines the bottom of it to seal it. Does anyone know if the old gasket can be removed and reused on the new valve cover? The dealers here want $30 for a new seal so f- that.

How did you remove the gasket? is there any adhesive holding it to the VC? or does it just come off?

I brought a full gasket set from Honda for the Accord 2.4L... cost me about 60$...however was the rubber for the valve cover itself, the Spark Plug Tubes, and a new piece for each bolt, Personally Id say buying new gaskets are always worth the price... the last thing you want is to have to buy it later and have to take the whole thing apart again because you cheaped out in the first place, do things right or not at all just my :twocents:

I am also trying to install my VC and spark plug cover.. however the oem front bolts of the 4 wont come out? It seems to be sealed from both ends.. any ideas? This is for the spark plug cover.. the 2 lower screws that go into the spark plugs..

10 mm wrench underneath once it pops up you can unscrew the whole assembly and pull the spark plug cover off in one shot with both screws still attached to it
