Kei169 is your car used?
theres a good chance you might have the car reflashed if so someone found their car was reflashed from the previous owner.
thats a thought.
What car is yours
04-05 typically vtecs at 6000-7200 rpms to be exact and you feel a slight kickback.

Hrmms you might not feel the kickback since hondata makes it feel less.
If your car gets more agressive around 5000 rpms that means you have hondata ecu reflashed.
You can redline the car up 7600 as well
04
* 5000 rpm VTEC point decreased from 6000 rpm
* 7600 rpm Rev limit, increased from 7300 rpm (for auto trans must be in sportshift mode)
* Maximum torque gain 26 ft/lbs torque at 6000 rpm
* Maximum power gain 29 hp at 6000 rpm
* Peak torque increases from 169ft/lbs at 4500 rpm to 175 ft pounds at 7500 rpm
* Peak power increases from 206 hp at 7100 rpm to 210 at 6800 rpm
* Very wide flat smooth torque curve. 90% of peak torque available from 2000-7000 rpm.
* Passes Californian smog testing (no measurable difference from stock)
* Fully dealer compatible - works with all Honda scan tools and equipment
The Hondata TSX reflash is designed for use with an intake and headers. It will work very well with a stock airbox and stock headers. Testing was done with a stock cat back system.
06
* 4850 rpm VTEC point decreased from 6000 rpm
* 7600 rpm rev limit (sportshift mode only in the auto)
* Maximum torque gain 28 ft/lbs torque at 6000 rpm (24 ft/lbs auto)
* Maximum power gain 32 hp at 6000 rpm (28 hp auto)
* Peak torque increases from 165ft/lbs at 4700 rpm to 168 ft pounds at 4700 rpm
* Peak power increases from 201 hp at 7100 rpm to 204 at 6800 rpm (up to 8hp - auto)
* Very wide flat smooth torque curve. 90% of peak torque available from 2000-7000 rpm.
* Fully dealer compatible - works with all Honda scan tools and equipment
This reflash will work very well with an 06 TSX in stock form, or with headers and intake.

what crazyazn is saying is hondata is a aftermarket ECU that lowers your vtec to about 4000k.
And all honda's and acura's have vtec.

Missed by 3999K... lol
5000rpm (or 5K rpm) for 04/05; and 4850 (or 4.85K rpm) to be exact.

1. Look for Hondata Sticker.
2. Find the ECU #, and call Hondata to verify.
3. Redline your car, listen to the change over sound. If your car can take the redline up to 7600rpm; then it's reflashed. If not, then you will hit the fuel limitor @ 7300rpm.
