unorthodox ultra SS

you guys think 330$ shipped is a good price for this 3 piece lightweight pulley set?

you guys dyno'd to see the WHP and Torque gains?

is it worth paying that price for whatever the power gains it produces?

let me know guys

i purchased mine for $270 shipped.

try searching around for better prices. $330 is kind of excessive.

keep in mind, pulleys aren't meant to be huge HP gainers. the gain is in having less weight, the pulleys spin faster. your car will rev harder/faster and have a little more punch than stock. you can definately feel it more at the low-end.

if you go to UR's website, they actually have a dyno for the TSX with pulleys vs. stock. granted, it's a dyno by the actual manufacturer, but you can interpret in whatever way.

are you planning to install these yourself? the crank pulley is a bitch to get off. i had mine installed by a shop for a reasonable price. you may want to consider the install price and the pulleys together if you plan to get a garage to do it.

+1

The $330 price is a little high, so shop around. IMO, it is a worthwhile mod.

There is no harmonic balancer on the crank pulley, if that's what you are referring to.

from what i read, the lack of a harmonic balancer doesn't matter?

i got mine from this place called import car parts plus. they're a vendor on honda-tech. at the time, it was the cheapest i found, and the price jumped up right after i bought it. if you want, you can try emailing them at importcarpartsplus@gmail.com and see how much they charging now.

Due note that we use the same pulleys as a rsx type s
thats how i got mine a bit cheaper.

The one for the tsx apparently was label a bit more, when they are actually the same parts.

Obviously, the Unorthodox crank pully has no harmonic balancer, but are you saying the stock piece doesn't either?

Sorry, I don't have any tech manuals on the TSX to know this.

Yes, the stock one does not. The piece on the stock one is just to reduce noise and vibration.
