CLUELESS on a noise

I havent had any problems out of my TSX but there is one noise maybe someone can help me out with. Every morning I get into the car and I hear a cluncking noise in the front end of my car. Some days it feels like its coming though the tranmission and some days I can feel it on the accelarator pedal. it only happens after the car has been sitting up awhile and just before the first gear change. If i pull off fast or slow it still does it. It sounds like someone is kicking something under the car or like something is fighting in a cardboard box. After that it is fine and drives fine. I didnt hear this noise when I first got the car but it eventually started. Its been to the dealership twice and no one can seem to find the problem. Someone says it might be the brake shield bent but maybe someone else has a clue?

do you hear it only when u pass 5-10mph after starting the car?

i had a problem where i would hear a clunking noise every morning when i take off and they said it was something with the ABS activating, they did something to it and it went away, however, i still hear it once every two weeks when i take off in the morning

It's the ABS self-check kicking in. It only kicks in when the engine is cold and you pass a certain speed (3 mph I think?) I didn't notice it for the first few months, then it became noticeable for a couple months. After that, I don't notice it anymore...I know it's kicking in though since once in a while I'll notice it very slightly

Its a sigh of relief because I thought it was soemthing to do with the transmission since the vibration from it seems to have been coming from the center. That is surely a awkward ABS self check.

I never heard of a car ever doing a self ABS check. I'm not trying to call BS, but thats new to me.

i had the same clicking problem. i brought it to the dealer and they checked it out for a day or two and in conclusion, they told me it was the abs. nothing to be worried about.

Ill probably take it to another dealer and see but most are saying its the ABS checking itself. I hope the new 2009 TSX has a better way of checking.
