411 on Random Technology Cat
I've been thinking about purchasing a Random Tech. Cat. but I'm still wondering about a few problem with it.

Can anybody with the RT cat answer these questions?

Will the Cat pass smog in California?
Can I still use the heat shield with the Cat installed?
How long do the RT Cat's last?
What's up with Cel's ?
Are there any installation problems/difficulties?

I think the CAT can pass smog
You can still use heat shield with the cat
RT CAT last as long as your car do
CEL is how many holes in the CAT. Less holes = more air flow. RT CAT has 200 CEL compare to OEM of 800CEL for 04-05 and 600CEL for 06+
NO installation problems whatsoever

I am selling my RT CAT

I think he's asking CEL = Check Engine Light? Not cells...

Most people with RT cat has no CEL problem, however, some do. A O2 sensor defouler can (might) fix it.

Benz: 06+ OEM CAT is actually 400 cell.

I have an 04 TSX and have ran the RT Cat since November. I just got my first CEL on Saturday. I unhooked my battery and cleared the code and it hasn't come back so I hope it was just a freak occurance. I just ordered a defouler anyways to be sure.
