Turbo
I know people are going to say search it or whatever but I don't understand how I saw on ********* a red tsx (not the widebody one) that has a turbo.
Is there some sort of turbo kit that was like limited or something? Whatever.
Thanks

Thanks. I just found out it was in Japan so it said that it's a k20 or something. Oh well, I just really wanted to turbo/sc my Tsx....

there's one turbo kit that costs slightly more than a brand new TSX. I'm not sure you'd be willing to do that.
Otherwise, you'll have to custom build a harness and use a TSX ECU for the gauges, etc. and a RSX ECU for running the turbo

Thanks. Yeah I think I know which turbo you're talking about. The HKS one right? That is so dumb to pay that much for a turbo. Also I just can't understand how an accord has a turbo kit (I'm pretty sure) but they gave up on our tsx?

The TSX doesn't have any fuel management. It's the new DBW system (which is sort of new to Honda...they didn't get it quite right in the TSX). Basically, the computer controls everything, and you're just signalling to the computer what you want.
And yes, I think that's the turbo kit. It's like getting a 2nd TSX and plopping it onto your car. That's alot of money.

Thanks again. At first when i got my 08 in the summer i wasn't planning on really putting any engine parts. But then I saw youtube and got a couple parts. Now I really am starting to want a sc or turbo but no luck. There's not even hondata for mine. Oh well, anyway do you think the redshift sc will come out?

No, they talked the talk but couldn't walk the walk. They keep pushing the date, and now they don't give updates. The TSX is supposedly 3rd on their list (after the civic), but I guess the civic is giving them problems.
Modding sure is addictive. I don't know if you can even get the comptech SC since it includes a hondata reflash (which you can't get yet).
BTW, you haven't started a thread and introduced yourself to the forum yet. What kind of TSX do you have?

No, that candy red wide-body kit TSX is not in Japan, it's in the States. However, it does mostly sitting @ the shop cause I heard it doesn't run properly (hence no proper engine management).

there's another one on a-zine. it's got the spoon bumper and carbon fibre hood. red euro-r.
that one is actually turbo'ed. there are engine bay shots showing it, unlike the candy red one.

Yes, but that's a real Euro-R with a K20A which can be easily turboed. For us K24ers, that kit doesn't apply.

you're right. i thought the OP might've been referring to this euro-r vs. the candy red.

Well, the way to go we all know is running K-Pro, or a custom wired AEM EMS. Hydra has also successfully run drive-by-wire applications so asking them couldn't hurt. Unichip also has had success since it's a piggyback so they might be able to help. I know that Greddy's Emanage Ultimate is not the greatest but it could also be used for a custom turbo application. It would work just fine. People just aren't that serious when it comes to running a turbo on the TSX. I decided on the S/C for better drivability and reliability. Otherwise, i'd be running a turbo!

Even if you can scarify for all those electronic goodies, I think you might still need the TSX ECU for several function. Dual ECU setup might solve it but you need harness.

I haven't seen any of those above ECU company coming out anything for the TSX yet... but yeh, I heard Hydra, Motec can run DBW applications, but the price is $3K+..
