Hey i don't mean to thread jack but i don't want to create another thread about an intake question...

Does anyone know if its possible to just replace the airbox ( 07 AT ) with an AEM filter with slapping on a full intake system?...I ain't looking for a performance gain, just a tad of a fuel mileage gain and for the engine to breathe easier...If it is possible can someone hook me up with some detail on parts i need and what diameter 3 or 3 1/2?...thanks lads

do you mean replacing the stock filter with the AEM filter instead of adding the complete full intake system? sorry, could you please clarify.

Were you planning on using the AEM cone shaped filter? You can't fit that on your stock intake. The option that most guys seem to go without replacing their stock intake system is usually putting a K&N drop in filter, and removing the excess tubes and resonator at the bottom of the intake system. This allows better airflow and less restriction due to the bends and the resonator. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbparts/2005/acura/tsx/air_filter/k-ar-n.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_term=2005+Acura+TSX+Air+Filter+-+K%26N&utm_content=ymmbp_n&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base. People use that drop in filter. This set up is pretty much like the comptech ice box.

There is a FAQ/DIY on cold air intakes on its appropriate section on the forum.
