Which cat-back system??
I have an 05 tsx a/t.....I'm an old timer from the muscle car
era and would like to change to a cat-back exhaust that gives
a nice mellow performance sound....not loud, just something to
give it some respectable personality.....a nice grumble. Do you
know what I mean....something that when you hit the pedal, it
talks to you a little bit. This is the best I can describe what I'm
after....???
Can anybody give me some ideas or push me in the right
direction.....? Thanks...

I have the comptech, which I will still say is my favorite exhaust out there for a TSX.
It doesn't have the muscle car sound obviously, there is nothing like a V8 with a nice glasspack.
But the comptech gives you a nice response when you step on it, and is nice and quiet when you want it to be otherwise, has a nice grumble behind it when your sitting at a stop light, nothing like the typical Honda Civic with Clear Tails type of noise, just a nice sporty tone that lets you know theres something going on here.

Mugen
FEEL's
Amuse
Vibrant maybe
Comptech maybe
honestly though, there's only so much "talking" a
4-cylinder engine can do.

I know what your saying. I was/am kind of going for the same tone. I would say the Mugen is the best compromise for our 2.4 engines but its very expensive. The Feel's has a great tone but it is a bit loud. You could add silencers and I think it would be a good setup. I was also considering removing our 3rd muffler for a little extra tone, but I think it would still be kind of high and not so mellow. So I'd say Mugen or Feels.

I agree...as I said....I grew up in the muscle car era so one thing
I'm fully aware of.....a 4cyl is a 4cyl is a 4cyl....I'm just trying for
a little bit more of an agressive tone, I don't expect miracles...
Oh, and by the way, I've ordered the Comptech system.....

I like my Greddy SP2 cause it's pretty quiet most of the time unless you go full throttle. Less hassle by cops..

I just took the plunge and ordered the APEXi WSII. It looks amazing and sounds really mellow from the clips I've listened to. I'll update when I install it
