TSX Engine Swap?
I'm buying a TSX from my brother for really cheap. However, the engine is toast. I want to do a straight and simple engine swap. Nothing special.
Would an 06-08 motor swap in easily without major wiring work?
How bout an 09?
Thanks!

then your best luck is a motor from the junkyard...
should find a same year so you wont have problem of the ecu not recognize something or conflict w/ the cluster etc....

Any 04-08 tsx k24a2 will work. Just use your existing harness and ecu. Try to find the later model engines. Btw. Whats wrong with the current one?

In any case, the same motor from the same year, is going to go in with no problems. If you were to do something from a different year, im sure as with any other honda swap, something is going to not match up and if you dont catch it going in, then you are going to get countless headaches in pursuit of some wire somewhere causing a CEL. Save yourself the time and the sleepless nights and find a motor from the same year.

Actually he doesn't have to worry about that. All the k24a2 engines are the same. The newer ones are just better flowing. Hence the 5 hp increase.

06 K24A2 (TSX) motor will be the best for you, but you also need ECU to pair with it.
You can go for K20A2 for ultimate unlimited modding possibilities, but for sure you will have tons of headache to figure out everything.
