Hondata or E-manage?
Hi guys,
I have an auto CL9 (accord euro) with topspeed headers, magnaflow cat and comptech icebox. NST pulleys on the way.
I am considering either hondata or e-manage as the next performance mod. Which do you guys recommend?
I couldnt find much info on the e-manage on any of the forums so just wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge about this. As i understand, the e-manage is tuneable to the mods whereas the hondata is one size fits all.
Performance wise, im after more torque and performance particularly at lower rpms. Not expecting miracles but slight improvement i would be happy.
BTW anyone have hondata on auto. Are the gains noticeable on "D" mode or is it more noticeable and beneficial in tiptronic? (have searched, just after more opinions

when you say e-manage, i hope you mean the e-manage ultimate.
I am also going with the e-manage ultimate, its tunable unlike hondata. But i am doing internals on my car, not just bolt ons. so if you dont have any more plans for the car, go with hondata, if you plan on doing cams and all that crap, then e-manage ultimate

I truly hope this works out for you (as I would really like a tuning option), but I honestly don't expect it to. The stock ECU does not play well with piggybacks, so be prepared to lose some amenities (gauges, HVAC, etc). What harness do you plan to use?

And to those planning on using e manage or f/ic. I just hope you plan on making your tsx a weekend car. It won't be good as a daily.

As mentioned by Junyu, two cars in oz have successfully used e-manage.
The people with emanage were able to change vtec to 5.5krpm but i think v-manage is what is required if really want to tweak vtec point. Not 100% sure.
