Throttle Body Spacer
Anyone have any opinions on throttle body spacers? I found one on excelerate for $72 ( http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-222310.aspx ) but i have never dealt with them so dont know if they are worth it. Can anyone provide some feed back about them, and from some of you guys that have them, any intake fitment issues (aftermarket and stock)
Appreciate your help
-Mike

i have one on my car, and i actually bought it from josh/excelerate.
here's the link to my DIY: CLICK ME
you shouldn't expect huge gains or anything. i felt like there was some better throttle response and less lag on my 07AT, but it's also hard to tell b/c i had pulleys installed a few months before the spacer.

I've got one as well with two thermal gaskets. For an 04-05 you'll need to get the one for the 06-UP Civic Si and do the throttle body bypass if you haven't already. I did feel an increase in throttle response. IMO it's a very good mod.

After installing the TB spacer, the mounting point of the CAI on one of the battery tie down points is shifted. Nothing a small bracket can't fix though.
The brackets cost something like $0.79 (yes, cents) for a pack of 3 or 4. You will have to bore out the holes in bracket for the bolts to fit in.

Actually the 04-05 TSX specific TB Spacer and gaskets are in the works; it should only be a week or two more and they will be shipping.

I have a spacer in my car, which I bought from Marcus at Heeltoe.
I didnt feel a whole lot difference, but like others have said, I felt a little more throttle response. But I also installed my exhaust the same day, so that probably helped out more.

I have purchased from marcus before, so i would be more inclined to purchase one from him, (no offense excelerate), that is assuming that the 04 specific would be available to him soon as well... can you speak on that marcus?

i mean, it's a cheap mod. so whatever it's supposed to do, i think it's well-worth the price. just don't go thinking the lack of low-end torque suddenly disappears.
a lot of TL guys on the 'other' forum swear by the spacer and they felt it really added something.

Josh, would the 04/05 specific TB spacer and gaskets fit properly with a supercharged setup? I plan to run my Injen in SRI mode once we put on the blower. I'd imagine this will still work but am unsure off the top of my head.
