Upside down Stock shift Knob question

Stock shift Knob question:

When my shift knob is screwed in tight it's upside down???

should i have a washer on it or did i strip the threads?

and one run into this problem?

Is this the right thread for this question?

There's a locking nut on the bottom of the shifter, tighten the knob a little bit and make sure your knob is straight first and then tighten the nut on the bottom of the shifter.

yeah you can use the nut, or i just tightened my knob even more so it goes straight with out the nut. just put a microfiber around the knob and used a wrench to tighten
