My TSX Hondata tuned !
So I finaly started a new project after my turbo Civic that is still for sale... damn. For this project I wanted something nice without all the work that a turbo car require... I did all the job on my turbo Civic but now I dont have the time so I gaved the car to Kenneth Lau from Toronto aka Turtle to built and tune the motor and he did an amazing job as usual on my race car. So the car is a silver 04 TSX with a 2006 motor in it.
- 2006 K24a2
- Turtle engine build
- Hondata dual ECU
- Hytech stage 1 cams and valvetrain
- Hytech baffles
- Hytech exhaust/catalyser/header
- Comptech air box
- 09 TSX pistons and rings
- RSX oil pump
- RSX VTC
- cut the head
- stock 06 shotpined rods
- stock intake manifold and TB + Hondata IMG
- Exedy stage 1 clutch + flywheel balanced with crank.
- RSX-S 4-5-6
- type R LSD
- BC N+ coilover
- camber kit all 4 corners
- Front BREMBO billet caliper 4 pistons + KVR floating disc ( to be install )
- Recaro seats and low rails
- Mugen MF-10 17x8
With the brand new engine the car made 230whp/185wtq... I was kinda disapointed when my friend told me that there was a lot of detonation but I found out that it was my fault. The gas in the car was there for about 6 month cause the car was in storage for winter. I also found that the previous owner never washed the air filter. I never saw a air filter that much blocked. I cant believe that we made this kind of power with this filter... so after all that I need to go on the dyno to retune on new 94 octane gas and clean air filter + Motul 300V 5w30 oil.
The only problem I had on the project is the bad fitment on the Hytech exhaust for the two muffler. I had to return one to John and it still doesnt fit perfectly. So I need to remove it and fix that when I will have some time. But everything went smoothly the car is also very economics !
Hope you guys like it.
Matt

no, hondata k-pro.
another car with hytech. for a company that everyone says is slow on producing parts, there seems to be more and more cars with hytech exhaust systems or components.

I think this is the best TSX on here. Good job. If I didn't live in CA, I would build something simular.

So you are the one John mentioned having fitment issues. I was at the shop about a month ago. He test fitted the muffler section and set the jig accordingly from my car!!
