exhaust install problem

I have had the vibrant exhaust in my garage for over a year now. I picked it up for a steal of a price but never was motivated to put it on my car. I went to get it put on today but they said it was wrong. I have 4 pieces that they show on their website pic. The smallest piece has 3 bolt holes on one end and 2 on the other end. the long t piece has the end with two branches that connect to the mufflers and then a loose 3 bolt hold piece at the other end that should connect to the short piece. The issue is that the end of the short piece with 3 bolt holes lines up with the cat but the other end of the short piece only has two bolt holes and doesn't line up with the 3 bolt hole connector on the t piece?? Any suggestions?? I emailed Vibrant waiting for a response because I have the same 4 pieces they advertise. Maybe the short piece end with two bolt holes will line up with 2 of the 3 on the end of the cat?? That doesn't seem right

Vibrant should replace it under warranty, if u still have it after a year. If that doesn't work, look around for a fairly decent and yet affordable exhaust shop in your area. Ask them to make a custom flange which will fit the T-pipe and weld it into place. Its not too expensive...

I doubt they will warranty that thing after a year. Go to muffler shop and get it fix.

Not an expennsive fix. Just have them weld on different flanges.

yeah I was at the muffler shop when they told me it wouldn't fit. I asked them if they could weld on something and they said it would be difficult so maybe it just wasn't a good shop?? Anyway,I waiting for a resonse from Vibrant because they are advertising this as a direct fit on 04-08 tsx and as you can tell by the pictures its not right. Hopefully they will do something about it. Guess its kinda my fault for waiting a year before even noticing anything.

Too difficult? Look for a shop that has more sophisticated equipment. If u were in CA, I could suggest a couple of places, but u r not here...

It's not complicated in any way. Its using a saw to cut off the flange and then welding different ones on. The hardest part is aligning the holes.

yeah im sure i can find a shop around here that will do it but I'm waiting to here from vibrant first. It shouldn't be a time constraint or warranty issue because it simply doesn't fit. It says a direct fit but its not?? Just look at the pictures they had to have test fit this thing. All year tsx's have 3 bolt flanges at the end of the cat right??

I just spoke with Derek at Vibrant and he told me there was a batch that they put the wrong flange on. He was very friendly and they are sending me a new flange for free and then I just need to find a shop to cut off the old flange and weld on the right one. What do you guys think this should cost?? I've never dealt with exhaust shops or getting anything welded, don't wanna get ripped!!

Don't know for sure but I would say less than $50. It should take 20-30 minutes total if they have a lift and a movable welder.

They shouldn't charge more than like $20 for installation of new flange.
