Bored out Engine
I know its more complicated than actually just boring the engine. I.e. Pistons, cams, internals, KPRO, etc... But has anyone done it? It seems like a good way to get a significant increase in HP/TQ. Is it just too much work or is it just more expensive than I think.
I've done some researching and reading but I just wanted to see what people think about it. I'm not really considering it. I'm more just curious.
Thanks.

Higher displacement always helps to make more power. I haven't seen the K24 engine worked on in a TSX but I have seen them worked on when doing swaps into older Honda cars.

What would you say the total cost/gain is to bore to a 2.6L?

I guess you may need K-Pro after you bore your engine.

/\ Yeah most definitely. Although like SC, you will still have gains without it (I'm aware there is an ECU change). It's just not optimized.

stroking it you will incrase a lot of torque. Boring it alone will increase horse power.
But buying the stroker kit, you will be able the rev a lot higher because the parts a stronger than stock.
for some reason when i think 2.6L stroker kit, i think RB26

Well, unless u consider some serious racing on the track. and have no big concern about the engine life, go ahead and do it. boring/stroking always helped to get serious HP, especially on boosted cars

From a labour perspective.
Parts and boring aside. It's around an 8-hour job to pop the head off and put it back on.
That's without touching the valves, valve springs, and pistons.

Work on the head yourself!
Send the block to a shop and have them sleeve it and stroke that monkey
