Fuel Additives
Has anyone ever used the Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Injector Cleaner? Think it is also known as Tune-Up in a bottle. I have been using the Chevron/ Techron additive and wanted to know if it was worth the switch.

I've never used any additive in any of my vehicles and never will. I just think they are nothing more than "snake oil".

Fuel/Oil additives at auto parts stores = Waste of Money
They actually might do more harm than good.

From what I have heard they're pretty much pointless. Not sure if anyone has proof of them being worth it or being pointless, but as of right now I wouldn't bother with it.

Boosting octane by ~10 gave 06 Civic Si 4 WHP. I guess they do add a LITTLE power, but its just not worth it if u ask me

I use to on my old 90 accord lx but it's best not to add anything at all. I felt no difference what so ever :/

Import tuner covered it in their "Fact or Fiction" a few months back.

TSX of the Month Winner

i dont use or ever will use octane boosters like everyone else said its a waste of time. i do however use STP Gas treatment once in a while. i would say it is safe because it come from the same process of gas (Fractional Distillation) which is basically a petrol base additive like gasoline and its supposed to help on gas mileage which i have seen it made a difference on my car. i've only used it on highway or long distance drive and have seen about 80-110mile extra on a half tank of gas.

I must say that some octane boosters made my car sound smoother at higher RPMS

I will coat your plugs and damage your Catalyst. Ran it in a SU Carb 240Z and the plugs turned Red. Acura may void any warranty becase they can detect the addidives. Mitsubishi voids EVO Warranty after inspecting plugs. Gasoline formulas are secret and additives can mess with their additive packages.
