CAI Filter servicing

For those of you that have a CAI, do you need to remove your bumper or inner fenderwell to clean or Service the Air filter?

Either way works. I find removing your wheel and accessing it through the fenderwell to be way less hassle. Here's the K&N installation guide for their Typhoon CAI. It shows pretty clearly how to remove the fenderwell:

I just remove that one screw holding the fender. Turn the wheel to the right. Push the splash shield away and you can reach the cai filter with a screwdriver or extended socket wrench/
