well wasup guys......Im in the same K20A6 boat as you guys....Almost felt like im the only K20A6 accord owner here....

I installed a K20A civic type R head on my car with type s k20z1 cams.....

BUT IM FINDING IT VERY HARD TO TUNE IT.....

car bogs/stutters a little between 0-1500 rpm, then after that it runs smoothly.....anyone knows whats causing this....im sure my compression has been raised but damn......

if i reset the ecu it behaves nice again, but within 5-20 minutes the same thing...

i have a vafc2 installed.

Driving to work this morning the ECL came on again, grrr!

My friend will be running diagnostics on it again tomorrow. Let's see if any error code pops up.

I have disconnected the battery again. I know it is a temp fix but one that is kind of tedious.

My RPM has never ever been below 1000 mate. It feel's kinda sluggish if you know what i mean.

I had the diagnostics done today and it came up with the error code

P0420 - Catalyst Efficieny Low Bank 1.

What would you guys suggest i do next?

i'm also resetteing my battery at the moment

This came with just the one bolt Falken. Where did you buy your defoullers from?

Now fitted.

The diagnostics were done again and their is no error code present on the system.

I have driven it 30 miles and all seems well so far. The idle is still low around 600-700rpm. It is lower than what it was originally but i have been told when a high cat exhaust is flowing more freely it will do this.

Here is the part installed. The 02 sensor has a clearance of around 8-10mm from the exhaust when fitted. I have seen some people use defouller's which increases clearance greatly but i chose to opt for this. One issue that i did come across was the clearance of the actual sensor wire underneath the car. Depending on the position of the actual stock bolt on the car it can be quite tight to fit the new bolt onto this. A few tweaks of the heat shield and the sensor wire and all was well.

Weird... I have been rolling with a single defouler for.... 5? months now and nothing came up. Try fitting another one in there.
