Engine Management Light! Help!

Hi folks,

I had my high flow sports cat installed over the weekend on my UK spec Honda Accord 2.0 K20A6.

I left work at 4pm today and the engine management light has popped up. It was on constantly until i got home just after 5pm/ Is there any way i can bypass this?

I have been told to obtain an o2 sim sensor?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Faz

No. The problem is that the second o2 sensor see's the same temp as the first, so it thinks the cat isn't working.

Use defouller and it will solve your issue.

10-20 sec is all it takes for the ecu to reset iirc. Make sure you have your radio code + navi code since you will have to input those again

Disconnected the battery at lunch for 20 mins. Seems to have done the trick no more ECL Let's see how long it last for though.

Ok another update folks. I drove home and the light has not come on, which is a good sign but i have noticed that the revs are a little on the low side around 6-700rpm where it should be just under 1000rpm. Is this because the ECU needs time to programme itself again? If somebody can explain this.

Cheers
