At the reflash meet, Doug (Hondata-Forum Vendor) was very impressed with the Skunk2 racing header, and its ability to scavenge. He explained to me that the DC and CT headers, although being CARB legal, did not flow as well as the skunk, and that the Skunk2 was still tunable to achieve CARB smog with high flow cat and exhaust. I do not know what others base their opinions on, but with my limited knowledge, having the input of someone like doug was truly invaluable.

Or you can go all out and dish out some dough to get the hytech header... But then I think she just wants a cat-back for sound...

THANK YOU for speaking up! Do you just have the Megapower or did you pair it with a header? if so, which? Any possibility at getting a sound clip from you? I'm really leaning toward that one, I think it sounds mean as fawk!

Side note, is there anyone with either a Skunk2 or DC sports exhaust in SOCAL? I wanna hear these two exhausts in person. Thanks

Fujita intake converted to shortram because the bracket snapped at the weld, DC header, skunk2 exhaust. No clue how to put up a soundclip or I would. I think i've heard sound clips on YouTube ?

ws2 is my pick, ever since I saw it on Ken7's ride. Looks so clean it should be what our cars come with stock.

my boy Jonathan had it on his tsx when he owned it and the intake seemed louder most of the time. you really only hear the exhaust at low end and it sounded great. i have a sound clip on youtube you can even look up if you want when we we're doing a photoshoot one morning.

This is a thread about catbacks, not headers

Seconding the love for Tanabe. I run the Tanabe MT (Medallion Touring) and it looks understated but sporty, and sounds clean. It's a very livable catback.
I got mine from Excelerate at a great price.

That's a somewhat misleading statement -- changing the cat-back absolutely won't hurt your power output, but it won't dramatically increase it, either (NA, that is -- with boost, there's more benefit to an aftermarket exhaust).
That being said, the header + cat combo will definitely make more power than a catback exhaust.

^ solo header gives more of a gain than solo cat-back, thats what I meant. Of course combined with a cat, it makes a vast difference.

Does the Apexi WS2 suffer in winter weather with it being mild steal? Here in the UK we have Buddy Club and HKS systems fall apart simply because the winter weather and road salt rots them away
