TL exhaust on TSX?
Hey everyone.. im debating on what kind of exhaust to get. The thing is, is that i love the look of the dual exhaust on the '08 TL with the 4 tips - but i cant seem to find anything like that for the TSX.
Anyone know if they make something similar??
thanks!

Nothing wrong with possing if it looks better and is done right. The IS-F has dummy tips and no one bags on it being a poser. (looks is another thing with the ISF).
If its what you truly desire, go for it. Obviously you're not going 4 pipes out. But you could do two pipes to two tips (no real output gain) or just straight up dummy it.
I think it could look good if done right. But you can't really add a lip on now unless you customize that as well. I personally like the dual outs (OEM style) the best.

Pretty sure there aren't any 4-tip exhausts that are bolt-on, so you will have to go custom. Maybe look up the the typical muffler companies like Magnaflow, etc. Since the TSX exhaust opening is not as wide as the TL, you'll have to find something smaller, sort of like the Canadian CSX:

i thought that was just for whatever auto show and the real model doesn't have those dummy tips. i could be wrong, and even so, it's just a tip outlet.
i'd be more likely to laugh at someone trying to pull off a quad-exhaust setup on a 4 banger versus some dummy exhaust outlets for an IS F.

I am with u there. ISF may have ugly placed 4 tips, but it has a 415HP V8 under the hood..... WHAT would be TSX's justification for having 4 tips?

Just a style difference. If the OP likes that look, there's no justification required IMHO.
Maybe the OP should check the dealer for TL-S tips to see if they would just direct fit.

Well its besides my point that the ISF has more power. It's not the point of faking power but more than its just aesthetically pleasing to the owner.
I do understand your points tho. They're definite cases of posing that are hard not to laugh at. The 4 tips on a 4 cylinder will have some people laughing but I do not think it is that bad.

What it comes down to is doing what you like...
People putting H22 in Integra's or doing poor man R swaps arnt posers? whats wrong with putting TL-S mufflers on a TSX? Atleast he can afford to buy a car with a K24a2 rather than doing something like buying a Base RSX and then buying a K20a2... or someone putting TL-S rims on a TSX... anyhow
i think you should give it a try buddy, you would be the first therefore you wont be atleast be posing anyone with a TSX. I thought about doing the TL-S muffler myself but i ended up buying J's Racing

ok.. i definitely understand and respect everyone's opinion on here; and appreciate the feedback - i really do. So please consider that.
But as far as 'posing' goes... gimme a break. I feel like some of you are too narrow-minded when it comes to modding these Acura/Honda cars. You have to understand that NOT EVERYONE is into mod'ing their cars' performance. Dont get me wrong, i'll probably end up getting i/h/e myself, but i also realize that this is only a 200hp car.
Remember some people do own their TSX cus of their look and reliability and such. If i wanted to race all the time, i would have gotten an STi.
anyways, i think i might just do the mufflers (or maybe even just do quad-tips), and then do the pipes later on... just to try it.
anyways, no hard feelings with anyone; i hope im not coming off too strong. And again, i do appreciate everyone's feedback.
Ill keep you all updated and post some pics when i get around to it, so i can get more opinions.
thank u all!

It's your car, mod it how you want. I also could care less what people think of my mods.
People need to chill out with others' choice of mods. I view mods like I would view someone's clothing choice, might not be my style, but I'm not going to say "Yo dude, why are you dressing like a rapper/etc."

I personaly think it looks good also. I think it will be very hard to duplicate on the tsx.
For those who say it is posing. Having duel tips like the tsx mustbe posing as well. The only reason for it is looks. There is no performance gains.
