Got my pulleys in today.

And I was reading the instructions and it says it does not require a new belt, however the instructions are for a 02-06 RSX/TSX Type S 2.0L DOHC, will these still fit? Im going to do my research while I let you guys contemplate this.

Ok pulleys will fit:

914871 Underdrive 02-06 RSX Type S 2.0L DOHC 16V (DC53/ K20A2) Pulley set Includes crank, alt. & p/s pulleys

914871 Underdrive 04-06 TSX 2.4L DOHC 16V (CL9/ K24A2) Pulley set Includes crank, alt. & p/s pulleys

Now back to the belt, should we stick to the CR-V belt or the RSX, or stock like the instructions recommend?

Juan:

Measure them:

UR's spec
Crank: 5.125
PS:5.125
Alt:2.75

If the Ralco's are same a belt is needed

Ralco Specs
Crank: ~5.192
PS: ~5.192
Alt:2.75

Which is a difference of about 1/16" so Im going to go with the CR-V belt. Also my caliper's battery was dying so they could also be off.

Get the shorter belt, you can always return it if not needed.

Check the tension indicator

Well, when I got my UR pulleys, the instruction stated that they would fit both RSX and TSX. RSX did not require a new belt, but TSX did and the part number for the belt came out to be the CR-V belt. My stock belt made clopping noise when I put a bit of extra pressure on the accessories. EX: if AC was on and I tried to turn the wheels while the car was parked, PS needed more power so the belt was slipping. I have had this belt for over 3 months and no issues whatsoever. In the end, it is your decision. Good luck

Oh I put in an offer on vthree's Ralco Pulleys. No major issues with them being a UR replica part, so I don't mind taking a chance by paying like half of the price of the UR.

:S

I'll send pcdawg a pm. It's just that the CRV belt was mentioned earlier in the thread as being compatible... and it's like half the price of the RSX one

Sweeet, thanks!

And to add to the confusion, here's the listing for both belts on the american vendor site:

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...=10608&Vh=CR-V

The cheaper one is the direct OE replacement... so what's the benefit of the more expensive one?
