Best mod for throttle response?
Which mod improve throttle response the most?
intake?
header?
hondata?
highflow cat?
pulley?
lighter wheels?
I went autoX some weeks ago and I found the slow throttle response made the car very hard to go fast.
Fyi, is a 05 AT...
Thanks!

Pulleys + intake (specifically, CT-E Icebox or a short-ram intake, CAI not so much).

Pretty much any of them. The more backpressure u have, the more power it takes to struggle with it, so the engine needs to get that power first. The more rotational mass u have, the longer it takes to spool up the crankshaft. The more restrictive is the air filter, the longer in will take for the air to fill the air tube after the throttle valve was open and air went in. The best one? I would say pulleys + short ram intake. If yours is 04-05, I would strongly advise u to get a hi-flow cat.

IM gasket, TB spacer and gasket and an intake. That's what I'd do.

actually forget the hondata I believe the 2005 auto is no good to make it work you have to get a new ecu key and all that junk. So I'll get intake and pully... Have you consider a lighter flywheel??

I have an auto as well. All the mods you stated all made improvedments to throttle. That was my aim with doing mods as well.
With CT Icebox and K&N Filter --> Improvement but not as noticeable as i thought.
DC header and magnaflow hiflow cat --> better response noticed and more sound as well! =)
I have NST pulleys at home which i have yet to install. Pulleys would also sharpen the throttle and provided some more torque especially down low.
All the mods you stated would all be the best mods to get the result you want without spending a fortune.
