Tsx Engine Swap
Hello every1, so the other day i was wondering if it was possible to put a TL-S engine inside of a 06 Tsx? if so what does it take and what do you need or even if its possible... i figured with a TL-S engine the tsx would be pretty fast and get down like no other

Anything is possible if u got $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
The question is, why not wait for 2010 V6 TSX? It has that 280HP motor from factory

Where to begin?
You'll need
- donor motor
- custom motor mounts
- transmission
- engine management
- wiring harnesses
At a minimum.
For less money, you can probably achieve 400whp on a turbo setup and be faster than a TL-S can ever hope of.

You'd actually be better off with a RSX-S motor swap, then the TL-S...

RSX-S swap would be more of a downgrade.

I was thinking with the K20 RSX-S motor being more easily modifiable then the K24,

^ The only advantage that RSX motor has is the 45 degree VTC mechanism. It also has a different intake manofold, but that is a matter of taste. I like TQ'y manifold in TSX. Otherwise they have same 310CC injectors (as opposed to Accord's and base RSX's 270 CC), VTEC on both exhaust and intake cams, 06+ TSX has more aggressive cams all around, stronger crankshaft, more displacement, both can be tuned with K-pro.

I’m in it for the process, not just the result. Taking pride in what I built, not what I bought.

no i agree with memph bc k20 engine is a bit smaller, a bit more space for bigger turbo + the option of turbo kits for the rsx. and also tl-s engine is huge. the car would be totally out of balance so you'd have to weigh the back down too. so its a lose lose.

The other thing, which I neglected to mention above, is that with the K20 will weigh Significantly less then both the K24 and whatever series motor is in the TL-S. I wouldn't want to drive a car with all that weight in the front if the TL-S engine swap was even doable.

With K-Pro available for the TSX now, doing an engine swap is more or less pointless. The tuning possibilities with the existing K24 are very wide.

Amen. 3.5L J35 motor from TL-S is 200 lbs heavier than TSX's K24 and I am really not sure if its even worth mentioning that K20 is lighter than K24. I mean the difference is not that significant. Oh and RSX turbo kit would be unlikely to fit in a different body. U would have to customize it
