Do the water sheathing method prior to drying... gets 70% of the water off the surface, leaving less water to dry -> less drying = less chance of inducing scratchs.

After you finish washing the car, take off the hose nozzle, and let the water run off the paint. There should only be a few small puddles of water left on the paint for you to dry...

I go to the Mr. Clean carwash when I feel extra lazy. Its an autowash, but they give it a soaking before the soft cloths hit the car.

+1 on that, I only began doing that recently and it makes such a difference. If you've recently sealed the car with a decent wax, drying after using the water sheeting method should take under 5 minutes for the entire car.
