Whose girlfriend has a problem with an intake sound? Time to trade up man... If a girl doesn't wanna be around for who you are... not worth having around.
My wife loved going for cruises in the turbo accord... it was loud, rough riding, and I threw it around every corner... Ah... memories....
Also, did you remove the stock resonator? i noticed that the intake noise was reduced by taking out the resonator box and piping. I'd guess that the resonator box and tubing acted like sound insulation so the intake noise wouldn't be able to escape. If you haven't, try taking out the resonator box and tubing, it may make the sound less noticeable.
That because ur SRI sucked in hot air. Now it gets cooler air thru the hole, so its quieter.
the ct is nice tho cause it has the velocity stack the goes right behind the folight/foglight cover so it get really good air, especially since i dont have either a coer of a foglight its breathing really good.
just browsing through this thread...
the "velocity stack"/"ram air" effect only comes into play at 60mph and above. Also, the trumpet doesn't line up perfectly with the fog light cover hole anyway.
My tube does? you gotta tilt it to the left more (towards the center of your car) And the metal bar that holds it tight is adjustable kinda. Im running no foglight on that side and it does sound louder if you do. I like the icebox because it doesnt heat soak, where as the metal CAI or short rams do. And putting in a K&N filter does fit better and it sounds a little better, IDK about performance though.
