Whose girlfriend has a problem with an intake sound? Time to trade up man... If a girl doesn't wanna be around for who you are... not worth having around.

My wife loved going for cruises in the turbo accord... it was loud, rough riding, and I threw it around every corner... Ah... memories....

If you haven't, try taking out the resonator box and tubing, it may make the sound less noticeable.
That because ur SRI sucked in hot air. Now it gets cooler air thru the hole, so its quieter.

did more driving tonight... with Radio on, the icebox doesn't really bother me until 5k+ rpm.

Awesome, I think I'm getting used to it and loving it.

just browsing through this thread...

the "velocity stack"/"ram air" effect only comes into play at 60mph and above. Also, the trumpet doesn't line up perfectly with the fog light cover hole anyway.

My tube does? you gotta tilt it to the left more (towards the center of your car) And the metal bar that holds it tight is adjustable kinda. Im running no foglight on that side and it does sound louder if you do. I like the icebox because it doesnt heat soak, where as the metal CAI or short rams do. And putting in a K&N filter does fit better and it sounds a little better, IDK about performance though.

If my girlfriend complained about the sound of my car, she simply wouldn't ride in my car anymore... I wouldn't change it to make her happy.

I am quite surprised that anyone considers the Icebox too loud. Maybe a Prius is more your style.

Luckily, my girlfriend is awesome and loves the sounds my TSX makes, especially the blower whine.
