My CT Ice Box Review

So yesterday my intake came in. and at first i was a little dissapointed for two reasons.

1. NO STICKERS!! lol. thats one of the best parts of getting new parts. lol

2. the intake lid is plain boring. I saw pictures and thought it would say at least comptech ice box on it then realized it's threw ct engineering now but figured they should have put something on it at least write Ice box on it. lol More boring than the stock lid.

Anyways, So install was pretty smooth untill i had a little trouble getting the lid to snap onto the bottom, I had to mess with the filter a bit but eventually got it on there.

Overall I am satisfied with it. Makes a very nice low Groan and not a loud obnoctios intake sound, Power feels pretty much the same but deff an inprovement on throttle response.

Just figured i'd give you guys my take on it..

Would I recomend. YES!

I have one too and love it
Not flashy and not loud. Just right, but the box could have been atleast more smoother lol.

You have a few available options.

1) Get the lid painted (see DAYTA's car, he had it painted in blue to match his Cusco brackets and they did a stellar job; it looks really clean)
2) Have the lid overlayed/vinyl'd (inkedup got his done with a blue carbon fiber weave)
3) Request a CT-Engineering sticker from CT-E; I'm sure they'd send you some, and then you can slap one on the Icebox itself, or wherever else you want.

Lately I've been toying with the idea of switching to an Icebox because with my supercharger + Injen CAI, my car's pretty ridiculously loud. The CAI seems to really shine with the blower on, though -- that colder air is a pecious commodity with boost.

the ct is nice tho cause it has the velocity stack the goes right behind the folight/foglight cover so it get really good air, especially since i dont have either a coer of a foglight its breathing really good.

The Icebox is a quality intake and provides solid gains across the low and midrange, as well as providing an easy access filter for cleaning/changing, and no fear of hydrolock (however I feel most fear of hydrolock is unnecessary unless you routinely attempt to ford rivers in your TSX ala "Oregon Trail").

I threw a K&N filter in my Icebox and it sounds even better.

I do mine once in the fall and once in the spring and that has seemed to work. If I had an Icebox I'd probably check on it every few months because it's so easy to access.

yeah i plan to check it out like every two oil changes or so just case it's right there.

I was thinking of putting in a K&N filter in it but i'll see how this one holds up

Why do people make the ICEbox seem so special? I don't understand. Maybe I should get one and find out what all the hype about this intake. Does it make a lot of power or something?

What you see so far about the box is true.
Get it and you instantly feel the torque
