5AT - Third Gear Question!

Just a question maybe its just me but has anyone noticed while in VTEC in third that once the rpms pass about 6700 it seems like the car shifts and the revs drop to about 6500? Mine does this usually and I'm wondering if this normal or not. This is a WOT btw.

Unless you let go the throttle. I'm also in SS so either I shift below 3K/4K rpm to save gas, if I WOT it's all the way to 7300rpm.

^ Thing is I never let go of the throttle, I'm assuming that its maybe the torque converter is locking up. If so that's bad for the tranny lol.

2K5TSX is neutral and has a clean balanced record.

I'm pretty sure mine does the same thing.. a small dip in RPM before it goes to red-line. Almost like the computer takes over throttle for a moment.
