k20 tranny
Would a k20 transmission fit onto the k24 block on a 2006 tsx? Been pretty curious about this since I heard that they can be and couldn't find any information online.

i belive it will. its just like any bseries car. anything b series is interchangeable (for the most part) with proper mounts.

No. It will not. The block height is different. You can swap out the internals but 2nd gear is weak in the k20.

Would I have to swap the gear box or something to make the 2nd gear better?

Don't really know how transmissions work. I can fix everything else on a car except the transmission xD can someone explain how I would get a different second.

Block height has nothing to do with transmission. Any K series transmission will bolt on. If you really want good gearing. Get the EP3's first three gears and the TSX's final two gears.

Keep the K24 transmission and swap the gears into them. The K24a2 transmission case is magnesium and lighter than the K20, no?

Yup, Magnesium is lighter then Aluminum, but not that much if you compare Alu vs steel.
The cable arrangement on top of the tranny and the support are different.
Your best bet is to put the interns inside your case.
Someone from overseas has done this(not long ago) and was saying that there was a different size for the thrust bearing.
Other then that, it should be straight forward.

I can assure you that the k20 trans will not bolt up. Nor will a k20 trans from a Integra Type R bolt to a Euro R k20.

Are you sure? You're telling me that those K24a2 swaps and K24a1 swaps we've done to EP's/RSX's did not work with the stock tranny then.
