lol I don't think you need to seafoam it at 40k.....Not until you hit 6 digits. (I think don't quote me on this).

Never hurts to remove carbon build up. But the benefit is more significant in the higher miles.

Alright. Do u guys know if using Chevron's fuel with Techron, which supposedly cleans injectors and fuel lines, helps?

I think I should try seafoam on my father's Kia first. It has 80k miles, but the engine is VERY chunky and wen it revs, it feels like it hates being up above 4k rpms. Maybe this stuff will help....

Seafoam
I've got about 90k miles. Ran 1/3 bottle through one of the vacuum lines to clean the intake. Not sure what that line is called, check Youtube for a video. There was a TON of smoke pouring out the exhaust, which if nothing else its great entertainment value. Put the other 2/3 in the gas tank to clean the fuel system.
Car seems to run a bit smoother now. For about 10 bucks a can its not a bad idea.

You're a little low in mileage to need a seafoam treatment. And chevron gas rocks! A cent or two more expensive per gallon here but its always the first place I choose for gas. Chevron -1 the Quiktrip -2. I can feel the difference if i fill up anywhere else. My mileage per tank shows it too.

Which is why Chevron is the ONLY choice for me. In case of an emergency I might settle for Shell though.

Seafoam-ing your car shouldn't be a problem, its just cleaning out the carbon buildup in your engine. You should put 1/3 in the gas, 1/3 in the oil, and 1/3 in the vacuum line that goes to the intake, a friend to help at this point would be good while you step on the gas to 3k rpm. It would also be recommended to change your oil after this as all the contaminants are in the oil plus the sea foam will thin your oil out. I do it on my car before every oil change and it keeps her running smooth.
